Priced by memory subject.
A memory subject is a distinct Graph — per-user or per-group — with activity in the billing month. The same unit our architecture is built around.

FAQ
Frequently asked.
- What is a memory subject?
- A distinct Graph (per-user or per-group) with read or write activity in the billing month. Every Memory in MemHQ belongs to exactly one Graph, so it is the primary billing meter — architecture-aligned.
- What counts as an op?
- Each call to
add, search, oraskis one op. Internal background work (extraction, consolidation, embedding) runs on us and never hits your meter. - What happens if I exceed my plan?
- Soft caps on paid tiers. We email at 80% of included ops, then bill the overage at $0.00015 / op. We never block traffic unless you explicitly set a hard cap in the dashboard. Hobby is a hard cap.
- Is MemHQ a hosted service?
- Yes. MemHQ is fully managed infrastructure — we run the database, the workers, the embedders, the synthesis pipeline. You hold an API key and call three endpoints. There is nothing to install or operate.
- Where does my data live?
- US by default. Regional residency in EU or APAC is available at the project level on Business and above. Customer data and embeddings stay inside the chosen region.
- Do you offer annual discounts?
- Yes — pay annually and get two months free on every paid tier.
